St. Peter's Hr. Sec. School, Chhingchhip is celebrating its 50 years of success and achievement. A tiny village in Mizoram about 80 kms away from its capital Aizawl has produced many renowned educators, administrators and business people.  The institution is managed by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, Province of Northeast India. 

      St. Peter's was started in the year  1962 by the Holy Cross Missionaries. In the year 1968 they handed over the school to Diocese of Silchar. Rt. Rev. Denzil D'Souza, Bishop of Silchar invited the Montfort Brothers to take over the administration of the school in the year 1979.

     The school is affiliated to Mizoram Board of School Education. In 1996 the school was raised to Higher Secondary in Science and in the year 2000 in Arts streams. The school is marching forward with the motto 'Inspire to Excel'. St. Peter's Hr. Sec. School is one of the best schools in the state of Mizoram.
